Over the past 14 years, I have been directly involved in the design and development of courses, programs, and training manuals for various clients using different instructional design theories. Below are except of some of the courses that I developed, presentations at various conferences and published articles.
Gas Utlility Worker Program -Advanced Certificate
This program is a 50 credit hour Advanced Certificate program that consists of general education and core courses featuring specific competencies in natural gas distribution systems. The program was developed in partnership with Peoples Gas, Utility Worker of America and the City Colleges of Chicago.

This course examines the mission of the urban community college and the issues and challenges that affect the successful implementation of that mission. Current policy issues are analyzed in the context of political, fiscal and social realities |
Chicago High Rise Building Training
This course was developed to train building managers in chicago and prepare them on how best to deal with fire accidents in high rise building. Every bulding managers was expected to complete this program and re-certify every four years.

New Online Instructor's Guide
This job aid was developped for all newly hired online instructors. As part of their orientation to teach online courses, instructors are required to know how to use Blackboard which is the course management system. This document was developped to aid them to do that.

This workshop was developed to train instructors how to develop student learning outcomes for their courses and show the difference between course objectives and student learning outcomes (SLOs).

The Impact on Online Student Retention and Success
This reseach was conducted in response to the student retention and rate problems that the center for distance learning (CDL) was facing within the City Colleges of Chicago in comparison to other colleges. Findings helped the center to understand how best to tackle this problem.

A team of instructional designers, led by me were selected by the dean of the Center for distance learning to work with some faculty and the vice president of academic affairs to develop a comprehensive evaluation document to be used to evaluation full time and adjunct online instructors.

Student Retention - Early Arlet Warning Process
The alert warning process was developped and implemented to turn around the low student retention and success rates at the Dawson Tech Institute. My student support experience, especially in the field of retention helped to effectively tackle this issue.
