What I can offer as an Instructional Designer consultant
My role as an instructional designer and technologist covers many areas from course design, development and faculty training to how to effectively leverage the use of technology to facilitate or teach course content to learners. Below are some of the work I do:
- Project manage the course design process from the beginning to delivery
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify what students need to learn
- Develop student learning outcomes to meet the course objectives
- Work with SMEs to develop appropriate types of assessments that will help students attain course objectives
- Structure course content and activities for easy navigation and learning
- Adapt instructional materials from one delivery mode to another
- Create instructional materials such (eg, audio, videos, job aids, rubrics) to enhance student learning
- Create media to support learning (e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online)
- Revise and update content based on learners feedback.
